Carcassone France

Here we are on the old bridge with the walled Medevil Citi behind us. When we walked around a bend in the street and this came into view it was breathing taking. Here atop this hill sits this 1,200 year old citi. Today the inside is for tourists with it's buildings turned into shops and cafes, but still doesn't take away from the history. The first layer of the wall was built by the Romans! You can walk along the wall and just imagine how it might have been.
